Bizarrely, I am the only candidate in this race who will not close state parks. Tim Walz actually closed them for months because he had some stupid idea that would reduce COVID deaths. Why you would think people walking outside in nature are at high risk of catching COVID or dying from it is beyond me, but apparently that’s what he thought. And Scott Jensen wanted to close the state parks in a hissy fit because he was upset about the clean cars regulation and about the idea of promoting purchase of energy efficient cars. So he wanted to punish the people of Minnesota for that.
I can pledge to you I will not close the state parks.
