Life, Liberty, & Happiness
The purpose of government, according to the founders, is supposed to be to promote life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—not GDP growth. How's that working out for you?

1. Life
We are undergoing the sixth mass extinction event in the Earth's history and doing our best to destroy life on this planet.
2. Liberty
This is the age of censorship. Both parties want to censor their opponents in the name of "misinformation," (which can usually be translated as true information that they do not want you to know). Democrats censor you if you point out that the COVID lockdowns caused an increase in depression and deaths of despair. They censor you if you point out that some people who receive vaccines are harmed by them, just as some people are harmed by any other medical procedure or drug, and that vaccines have both side effects and benefits, like any other drug, product, or procedure. And they censor you if you are not sufficiently "woke."
Republicans censor and try to get you fired if you if you are too "woke" and support diversity, equity, and inclusion, or if you point out that our nation was founded on slavery. They censor you if you criticize Israel.
And the social media platforms censor you if you criticize the social media platforms or if you advocate viewpoints that whoever is in power wants to censor and forces the social media platforms to censor.
In addition to this being the age of censorship, it is also the age of regulation. The code of federal regulations is a mountain. Lawyers don't even understand it. To run any business you need to comply with mountains of regulations, and if you inadvertently fail to comply with a regulation that you did not even know about, you often risk prison time that exceeds that for violent criminals.
3. Happiness
We have the most depressed, anxious, lonely, and mentally ill population of any society in human history.

So if the goal of our government is to promote life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, it is doing a pretty piss poor job. But if the goal is increasing GDP, wow! The federal government is doing a bang-up job. GDP has almost doubled since 2010 and is up over 10-fold since 1980. Are Americans 10-fold better off economically since 1980? No, we are worse off economically in terms of the affordability of the necessities of life. But hey, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are doing well!, so that's something.
We hit what we aim at. The purpose of a machine is what it does. So it is very clear that the purpose of our government is to maximize GDP growth, not to promote life, liberty, or happiness. I want to change that, and I will with Jury Democracy.
The Issues – Life, Liberty, and Happiness, not GDP
In a sense, where I stand on the issues does not matter like it does for any other politician, because I want you to make the final decisions of what gets passed into law—by Jury Democracy after a trial on each bill.
But I have strong positions and innovative proposals, as you will find on this website, like--
-
Cutting income taxes and payroll taxes in half and replacing that with a wealth tax mostly on billionaires
-
Sharing 50% of our land and ocean waters with wild species by converting it to nature for the primary use of other species, so that wolves, grizzlies, bison, and other wild species roam free and are restored to their native ranges.
